Boost and stroker Q
I am looking to build and LS1 for boost (single turbo). After doing a lot of reading on here and talking to some people I am slowly gathering parts.
At this time it looks like I am better off getting a higher mileage engine and re-building it with a better bottom end (likely forged).
I Also noticed that for about the same/little more cost I can go with a stroker crank (4.0 for ~383 6.28L).
I have been told that the stroker cranks are not "boost friendly".
Is this true?
If not would the gain be worth the cost?
Any recomendations for decent quality vs cost?

Ive heard of people saying that 383s dont like boost... But those people dont have a 383 or had one!
The people that do.... Like them and the only regret i hear from people is wishing they would have gone bigger.

The LS1 block is considered the weakest. Lots of engine builders frown on the 3.9 bore X 4.0 stroke combo. I frown on 4.0 stroke regardless. If you want 6.2L, buy an L92/LS3 with a stock crank, good pistons and rods. 4.10 bore X 3.622 stroke FTW. I would bet the house that it is more reliable and will hold more power. The 4.0+ bore gives you lot more head options as well.
