Default STS set-up - Junk coupler on TB keeps blowing off

Under anything above 6 lbs of boost, the coupler blows off of my TB. Now I know the worm clamps are junk, but a buddy who is really good with turbos pointed out a good point:

The coupler is blowing up like a ballon when the air is going into the TB... has anyone come up with a elbow to replace this coupler, or any other ideas? Kind of reminds me of something that would look like an 1LE intake elbow... ideas or suggestions? The less rubber the better.

If it is the stock TB, you can roughen up aluminum with some embry cloth instead of being smooth. T-bolt works good as well.

Problem is I have an LT1, and the TB is oval shapped. I will have to call them to see if they have the right size, since it is a weird size.

Ha yeah the wrong size coupler will do it.
I would trash the STS couplers and get some good ones from an aformentioned website in this thread. And yes, get rid of those damn worm clamps. T-bolt clamps are under $2 a piece and are infinitely better.
