Default Any sound clips of Brute Speed's blower cam ?

http://shop.brutespeed.com/Brute-Spe...n-Camshaft.htm

I'm going to go with Brute Speed's blower cam for my D1SC build and wanted to hear what it sounds like if possible. I did a Google and YouTube search but didn't find anything. Just wanted to see if any of you guys had any vids that allowed the cam to be heard. Thanks!

Mike

Might search for the EPP blower cam (exotic performance plus). This was the owners previous shop and is the same spec'd cam.

What's the difference between the stage 2 & 3 cams ? I think all I saw in the link I posted was just the cam with available valvesprings and pushrods..

I think what you posted is the stage 2 (from EPP anyway). My neighbor had that in his 402 with a D1 & made 640 rwhp on a MAF tune thru a 6sp & 9". We think he might have made close to 700 with an SD tune.

I have their stage 3 cam, which is 601/613 lift, 236/246 duration on a 114 LSA. On my 408 with an F1-C I made 775 rwhp at 14 psi at 6k thru an auto, big stall & a 9". Now that I replaced the Patriot Gold springs with the Extremes it should make over 800. It needed more seat pressure - the power dropped off to 650 at 7k even tho the boost increased to 16 psi. (my heads & ported Vic Jr intake should peak at 7500)

And as I said, both cams have nasty sounding idles, you WILL be pleased!

I never saw a stage 2 and stage 3 cam. It has always been the "EPP" cam for as long as I can remember and when Bob left EPP and got his own shop Brute Speed it became the Brute Speed cam and it is still the same grind. Unless you called Bob and had him specifically get you a grind, then thats something different.

Anyone know how this cam does like fuel mileage, drive ability, rpm band? I'm looking to put this in my LS2 404 with a D1 @10psi boost.

I can tell you that with a good tune driveability is excellent and the cam generally pulls to around 6500 rpm. I'm not sure on gas mileage. Bob

HAHA yeah that's my car that I just recently sold. Cam sounded great and pulled hard with full bolt-on's and exhaust. I just wish I would have gotten the D1SC on before someone decided to run me off the road and now I'm buying a new car.

That is too bad! Good luck with the new one. Bob
