Default E40 to E67 ECM Swap in Progress

Hey All,

Im in the middle of installing a Turbo Kit on my LS4.

Becuase we elected to go with a low miles 2007 motor, we were faced the 24 vs 58 Tooth reluctor issue.

We decided to Swap PCMs.

As far as we know, no one has done this yet. And if it works, it will certainly be an advantage to the guys who have run out of MAF input on the old E40 PCM. No more unreliable speed density tuning.

Anyways you can follow the progress on facebook if you wish.

Im sure you will find it interesting. We're posting pictures as we go.

Cheers

Why not just decide to use the lingenfelter converter module. I did, $250 bucks can install it in less than an hour.

Unreilable SD tune?? I would rather have an SD tune than a MAF tune

Well where i live we get big swings in temperatures. We also run turbos with cut outs. Everytime you open the cut out the tune changes. It effects the volumetric efficiency of the motor big time.

But hey, everyone has there own likes and dislikes. Since im not a fan of breaking pistons, i'd rather be realtime metered.

Cheers

Im confused? Are you saying that when i open my exhaust cut out and make a massive change to the Volumetric Efficiency of the motor I dont have to alter my VE tables?? I can indeed rely on them through large swings in temperature??

Wow, thats totally different than what Mr. Banish taugh me.

Cheers
