bov spring should be rated higher then the boost your running that way when the TB shuts and builds pressure it triggers the BOV to release the pressure to avoid compressor stalling.

I thought your BOV spring is based off of the vacuum your engine makes at idle. That's how I picked my spring.

Look exactly what the PDF from tial says. What is your vacuum at idle? Either way I think you'd be ok just on the dyno, but thats not from experience.

I think you're getting confused. The pink spring for 22-23 in/hg vacuum at idle is a ,12 psi spring; which is the largest they show that they make for that BOV. For what its worth I make about 14-15 in/hg vacuum at idle.

You should understand what's going on. Really the spring is have is probably not what you want. Will it work for the dyno, it'll probably be fine, but no way i'd leave it like that.

It's not confusing at all. Step 1: look at your boost gauge, how much vacuum do you make at idle. Step 2: Look at a chart that tells you exactly what spring to use based on the vacuum.

How is that complicated?

BOV spring has NOTHING to do with how much boost you run. It only needs to be strong enough to keep the BOV shut when idling. The boost from the vac/boost hose going to it will be holding it shut with what ever amount of boost your making at a 1:1 ratio.

Simple answer... YES, it will be perfectly fine. But you will probable have some compressor surge when you first let off the gas when your in boost since most likly that spring is too stiff...

why dont you start the car with out the bov? its not going to hurt anything. then get a vacuum gauge and take a reading.

These guys are trying to steer you right, the bov spring is sized based on your idle vacuum, not your intended peak boost pressure. How many cubes are you running and what size cam? This will give us an idea of how much vacuum you can expect to see once you fire it up and will help you size your bov spring. Like kbracing96 said, yes, you can use it as-is when tuning without causing any harm, but the bov will not be operating optimally.
