Default What coils???

Outlaw 10.5 firebird, 526 BBC twin 94's, alcohol, 3000lbs. Prototype FI/data logger, using D585 coils. Problem. we are having some missing firing at 7000 and the motor won't rev over that point. dwell settings are at 2.7ms @16v. Thinking that's not enough. but we are hesitant to go much higher on the dwell time as the coils are reported to overheat and discharge the spark before they are told to.(preignition....BAD,BAD for parts) anyone tried any other coils? or at what levels have you strecthed the dwell times out? these conditions are at 27psi, when we get it sorted we will be running into the 40psi range. thanks for any help Shawn

Cant comment on 16v. Why not just use the normal 14v and normal dwell time ?
