Default BEST TRANS for turbo build

well after reading alot about turbo cars and how 6 speeds dont work to well with a turbo. i think i decided to go to an auto.

first question is what kind of tranny? this will be a street car but will see some track times. trans break? or no?

2 who to build a badass tranny that will hold up and LAST! nobody around where i live "that i know of" can build a good one.

car is full weight 370ci shootin for 800hp+

any help would be awesome!

4L80E. 800rwhp is doable with just a Transgo HD-2 kit and a good converter. Some start upgrading the input shaft and sprag at this level but lots of people have had good luck with just the shift kit. Pick one up for $600 with low miles. $1000 for a converter. Its eats up the power but if its a street car like mine, I need to cruise the freeways at 80mph without reving to 4000.

so just a stock trans with a transgo kit will hold that power? with a good converter of course. how long will that trans last a year?
