Default procharger install....relocate cruise control?

i was curious if relocating the cruise control is required with a P1 procharger on my 2000 Z28? the whole air pump assembly is deleted on my car already.

The above installation instructions that a customer of mine posted years ago should help you out. Bob

Yes the cruise crontrol needs to be relocated as the stock location blocks access to the fenderwell for the air inlet tube and filter. I just mounted mine forward on the frame rail inside the fender well. I linked a picture of it in this thread.

I didn't have the bracket for mine so I just mounted it on the frame rail. Similar to Aster's.

this bracket is a pita. I have a 01 trans am and cant figure it out. the instructions kinda suck on this part. they just show a pic of what it looks like when installed. and on page 11 it tells u to use 2.5" bolts for 00 and later cars then on page 12 after you already mounted the pump it tell you to use spacers and 1.5" bolts which arent even long enough to bolt up.

i have the bracket but the directions do seem a bit unclear on a lot of things. i may use that same area as aster and see if the procharger will bolt up with the cruise control mounted there.

bob, i do have the manual but thanks anyways!

the cruise will fit just fine on the procharger bracket without the air pump on there(mine will not fit because i have a trans am and the pump hits the running light), just feed some extra cable from the top of the engine bay. then you have to re-run the electrical con threw the little hole on the top side of where you mount the bracket, un tape it from the cooling fan wires. If I remove my air pump will it throw any check engine codes?

Yes you have to get the AIR tuned out from the computer if you remove the hardware.

So if tuned out by the tuner then it wont be a problem later on down the road? Did you remove yours?

That's it. I pulled my AIR off when I did headers years ago. If you still have manifolds or AIR provision headers you'll need the blockoff plates too. But getting it out of the way is nice.

I am kind of new to this. Why do you have to run a small filter off of the blower?
