Default Stock crank, forged engine--bearings, oil pump, and ring gap for boost?

Im in the process of collecting parts and had a few questions..

1. What main and rod bearings do you guys with stock cranks use for these set ups?

2. What ring gap is ideal for a daily driver car that will see 20psi at the track? Im using the wiseco stainless/napier rings and I dont want a puffer...but it will see a bunch of boost at some point in its life.

3. What oil pump do you use?

Clevite OEM replacement bearings here - nothing fancy.

LS6 Oil Pump. I'm not a fan of aftermarket pumps. In my opinion you don't need the extra pressure if you go with stock clearance bearings and I have more faith in GM QA.

Follow the ring manufacturers recommendations for gap. I got a little too smart and went with a slightly smaller gap than the OEM recommended because I didn't want a puffer (24 I think). Both my #7 and #8 cylinders have a groove on the cylinder wall that I think is from ring contact.

Anyhoo - despite the #7 and #8 groove the motor has held together for almost 30k at 700 HP.

hmm Well reason for higher pressure is from the turbo. Before the turbo I had great oil pressure. After I added the turbo the pressure dropped. Also, ill be adding an oil cooler which I hear will drop pressure even further.

I went with .026 on my top and .024 on 2nd. Should handle the pressure pretty well. Its a hellfire ductile iron top and a napier 2nd. I went with a Melling's pump.
