I've often considered trying the C5/C6 bracket on an f body, but never have. I know it has been discussed on here before but I'm not sure if anyone has attempted it. The Aster bracket that can be seen at this link for the ProCharger F Body kit has taken care of the problems for quite a few guys, you might want to consider it. http://shop.brutespeed.com/ATI-1GJ20...F-Body-Kit.htm Bob

With the recent flip drive and cog setups for vettes I'm suprised it has never been tried. I know the vette alternator bracket causes some clearance issues. Would the blower even allow the hood to close?

I'd like to know this also? Just not wanting to spend the money to find out it may not. The alternator could be easily worked around.

I like this set-up alot, but it is priced for Vette guys.

FWIW, there is a guy in the conversions/hybrids section doing a roadrace car 350Z that has one of these set ups and there are a few pics posted, but it is still in the early stages, not alot of pictures, seems he is quite happy with the quality of the system.

^ That is a bad *** setup. The price though... ouch! I like the Cartek flip drive setup a lot and the price isn't bad either.

I think you have to have the vette crank pulley as well, as I believe the spacing is different. One of them is a bit further forward IIRC..

Or run different spacers on the blower bracket. If I hadn't just sold my Corvette brackets I woulda mocked them up while swapping the cam on my brothers Fbody.

The corvette one is closer to the motor and the camaro/gto is farther out.

Its not just the blower bracket, ALL the other accessories run off the crank pulley, so you cant just space the blower bracket, you'd have to space out the power steering, air conditioning, idler, and tensioner... Easier to get the vette crank pulley

No ChevyChad, I'm saying run the corvette supercharger bracket with spacers machined to line up with the Fbody accessory locations. Would not be to hard to machine the correct length spacers to move the bracket forward or backward. lol

Went out and did some eyeballing...

It looks possible with some modifications. Such as: battery relocated, rad stood straight up, slim fans, and a tight radius 90 degree intake elbow to the battery location for the air filter.

I only had a D1 headunit to eyeball so I don't know how an F1 and up series would work. I'm imagining it would work considering I saw an Fbod guy with a F2 mounted up top on the passenger side before.

Man looking back I should have hung on to those vette brackets, I'm just unsure if height would be an issue.

I'm real surprised no one has attempted this like you guys are saying try the acc and crank pulley and blower brackets the only issue is hood clearance perhaps and room from blower to rad I hope to have this all checked 1st of the new year. Thanks for the ideas guys

I always wanted to do this so I could run a Novi 2K blower. I also thought about trying the ECS novi setup for the Vette.

That guy with the F2 setup made a giant bracket out of aluminum. He also has a motor plate setup.

Yea, and with I'm assuming cog pullies will place the head unit even further forward towards the rad.

So with that I think hood issues may not be a concern. Doesn't anyone have a connection to some old brackets?

Ohhhhh I see. LOL, yeah, that'd be a lot easier I'd love it if my F1 sat up high in the vette location. Kinda a shame that its so purty & polished, but then hidden down low
