im doing a 4.8 turbo build. ready to pick out a turbo. posted on here for oppinions but now its between the mp t70 or a bw s472 turbo. the s472 seems huge at 80mm for my little 4.8. what do you guys think? theyre both 600 bucks. pros and cons of each?

yeah thats why i asked... well i dont want to blow my engine up... ive heard theyre good till around 700hp.. so prolly somewhere around 600+hp

A MPT70 will probably make 600 on your small motor. The 472 will make considerably more. The 472 is also twice the size and will spool slower. Is it a track car or street car? Stick or auto?

If you only want to make 600hp go with the T70. Get a .96 hot side. Will spool fast and meet your goal. Also much easier to make fit under the hood.

If you wanna shell out a bit more you could look into something like a 76 GTS which would still be easier to fit than the S472 and will make a couple hundred horse more than the MPT70.

a 76 mm t4 would serve you well on a 4.8

Well I'm not looking to spend more than 600 dollars on a turbo. I would love to go with a 76 but it just doesn't fit my budget

Then t70. S472 will make more power but the t70 will be a lot easier to fit

Ok I'm pretty sure I'm going with the t70. I don't want to overdo the engine anyway. Thanks guys
