Meth users: What kind of IAT temp drops do you see on meth?
Just wondering what any of you guys who are spraying the IAT see for temp drops. Im running twin M7 nozzles about 6" away from the IAT sensor and when it comes on I see about a 5* drop then it just starts to go up like normal. A 3rd-5th gear pull it went up 40*. My kit is non progressive. Could the M7s not be enough? I was only running 10-12psi.

The real question is what is your iat, not the drop. If you have low ambients, or an eceptional intercooler you water meth will not see that big of a drop. Now my opinion....theres something wrong with yours. First, some tests have shown that straight water will gain the most hp (dyno) if your fuel requirement is met. Most of us, me included dont run race gas, so meth really helps.
Now, temps drops.....I ussually see (turbo cars)ambient to 5 degrees above with no water meth, and a 20-30 degree climb on a pass. With 50/50......on the same , Ill see a 25 degree drop.
On a f1r bbc, I saw 200 degree iats, and with 50/50, in the high 90's......for about 100 degree drop.

As above. You need to know what the temperatures are without meth, and only then can you make a judgement.
And at 10-12psi, assuming you have a half decent intercooler, intake temps arent likely to be that high in the first place.
And as to how much of that temperature indicated is simply the temperature of the wet spray on the sensor, or an actual accurate reflection of intake temperature...could be open to debate.

Meth will certainly add octane and offer some air cooling. But water will offer the best combustion chamber cooling.
I guess the only real way to know what is beast for each and every combination is through testing. So many variables will affect the outcome.
Although if people use race fuel and intake temps are well controlled....I cant imagine water/meth injection offering much, if any improvement

I feel like very situation is different and there are alot of variables, even based on climate. Being in a Alaska I can probably get away with running a greater concentration of meth and still having fairly low IATs giving me the ability to ramp up timing. The downside of this is that I live in Alaska :p

4 cyl SVO 80 degrees out side, 28 psi boost, 500cc single nozzle it was common to see 35 to 38 degrees IAT. inside the manifold. 100% meth. Im not sure you will need to inject under 10 psi. of boost. IAT normal driving usally matched my coolant temp as the IAT sensor was in the intake manifold.

I figured out the issue. They sent me two M5 nozzles by accident. Before I realized that, I set the meth to come on at 3psi.and did a slow boost to about 5psi...the instant it hit my temps dropped 25*. I called him and he is sending me twin M10s. That should fix it. Also, it was 83* out today and cruising around my temps were fairly stable around 94* and only went to 101* after a full 3rd gear pull on 10psi.

cool, did you ask how many cc's the m10 is rated to flow? im on the fence for e-85 or meth. i have a simple kit hobbs turns it on at 10 psi. e-85 is hard to find in washington. i would have to fill up a drum and its a 100 mile round trip. i just dont think i will be happy with 92 pump with my set up.

With the twin 5s im getting a total of 630ml/min. Each 10 is a 630ml/min, so ill be running 1260ml/min. Should help with the IAT drops. Im going to set it to turn on at 10psi.

If you have a progressive controller start it earlier 3-5 psi and ramp it in to max flow by 10-12 psi . With those two big jets it may go pretty rich unless you pull some fuel up top.
