I would run any 2618 forging

I would have an idea of what heads and fuel you will be running before you pick a piston , you may want flatops with valve reliefs or some large volume dished pistons

Are you wanting to do a custom or a shelf piston?

Id go wiseco or Diamond. Do a search on Mahle and you'll find quite a few people have had some piston failure with them. However there are people who use Mahle and have no problems at all.

I've always had great luck with Wiseco in street and racecar engines.

Yeah and most those failures are on a 4032 alloy

Mahle offers 2618 stuff too

I had diamond pistons when I stroked my LS1 last year. When it's time to build the LS3 I'll most likely go with diamond again.

Exactly what i was thinking.

People say things about probe too, but the ford guys seem to love them...

.

My guy uses Diamond.
They do something a little different on boost applications that he thinks makes a difference??
They do a staggered ring package that is supposed to be better??
Anyone else ever use or hear about this??

I got Wisecos. I'd say they're all good though.
