Default 370/F1A dyno results on pump gas

Well we finally found enough time between my schedule and the tuners to get the Trans Am tuned on 16.5psi. The first couple pulls were not impressing at all 777.74rwhp 756.8rwtq and the boost seemed to come in and then taper off so I decided to hold my hand under the right front where the 66mm wastegate is mounted and make a pull to see if it was holding boost and it wasn't. So we decided to put more boost on top of the gate with the AMS 1000 and see if we could make it hold and it did hold 16.5 psi and we made 927 rwhp and 834 rwtq on 93 oct + meth and it was still bleeding boost so we are going to order the co2 kit to help keep the gate closed and hopefully break 1000 rwhp.

Surely you dont need co2 to blow the gate shut ? Cant the AMS simply use boost to blow it shut ?

Just block any signal to the bottom port ( ie the one that blows the gate open ) and apply boost pressure to the top port ( ie to blow it closed )

What pressure spring are you using in the gate ?

Damn son! What r the details on the motor? Auto or stick? I'm going F1A and th400 right now. Those r some killer numbers.

What size blower pulley? Dyno sheet or what rpm did u spin it to?

The bottom port is open and and we are putting boost to the top with a 7lb spring and at the top of the run it is still leaking a good bit. jeff

Auto or stick?

I figured it would take more boost to make some numbers like that. That's an efficient setup.

yeah I would like to see some track times too I took to the local 1/8 last night and ran 2 shake down passes (6.33 @114) and turned the boost up for the 3rd and didnt know it until the end of the run but I picked up something in the water box and cut the L/R slick but still managed a 6.6 with a flat tire.thanks jeff

I like seeing that you kept the compression ratio at 10.7:1. I'm rebuilding my shortblock and only went with a -3cc piston with valve releifs and got a lot of greif over not dropping the compression a full point. I will be running meoh/water and 93 as well and my compression is going to be ~10.3:1 depending on final measurements of how far out of the block the pistons are which should be 0.003-7".

I bet that thing is fun as hell on the street.

Awesome numbers! The higher compression ratio seems to be making a huge difference in power! Bob

Yeah being an exsprintcar driver I just couldn't make myself lower the cr I really wanted 11:1 but settled for 10.7:1 and yeah it is a beast on the street. thanks jeff
