That cam should be fine. But as far as the heads go. I would run the 317's that come on the 6.0

^ Agreed. But why not have one custom ground if you're already taking on the project? Selling your current heads and cam would nearly pay for the difference.

The money you save now by not doing the cam, will be twice as expensive to do later, plus the time and labor to do it later as well.

I'm the kind of person to say run what you have. That cam does not look bad, its not like its an MS4 or something. It has a good separation on it and on a boosted application for the street you are better off under camming it.

As for the heads the 241's are a smaller chamber so you will just have to get pistons accordingly.

I look at it this way, if I'm just throwing it together to have some fun, run what you have because it will still make power on boost. If I'm going to really try to make some real power to go to the track and run some single digits then I would be going about finding a better cam for boost and worrying about heads.

That cam should work good in FI. It would probably make a better turbo cam than a SC cam, infact it would probably be a damn decent turbo cam. You should state what type of FI you are going to use.

what compression ratio do you want to run? Wiesco makes a piston that would get you 9.5 to 1 with your 241's and LS9 head gaskets. That piston has an 11cc dish and is the K444X (then add S,05,3 to the end for standard, .005, or .030 over). If youre wanting to run closer to 9.0 to 1 then wiesco doesnt list a piston for you that would work with your 241's and LS9's. The next dish size is 25cc, if you ran these with 241's you would drop all the way to 8.4 to 1. I made a little spread sheet program I just plug a few numbers in and one of the things it calculates is compression ratio. It would be easier if you said what compression ratio you wanted, and also if you want to run LS9 head gaskets or cometics. They make a few diff thickness cometics that can help you tweak your CR but the cometics are a little pricier.

Overall your post / question is to generic. Include other details to like hp goal intended usage ect. You will be able to get more specific feed back.

its fine. not perfect but not half bad. i took out my 228r to add the blowe cam, and it was fine to start with too. i just wanted max results.

if you want a blower cam, most run 389 shipped. different ones to choose from too. all depends on your setup and what you want from it.
