JGS 40 can't control a pt76gts?
I have a kytp front mount kit with a precision 76gts and a JGS 40mm wastegate. My engine is a
370 with 317 heads and a speed inc TU1. Boost is jumping to 14+ psi by 4500-5000 rpm! Should I look into a tial 44 or possibly something even bigger? This is Sluggish's old kit and it was able to control his TC78 backed up by a 370.. Hmm

My 38mm turbosmart would control my TC76 just fine but when I swapped to the 76gts I had boost creep. I upgraded to a 46mm precision wg and still have issues with the cutout open. I believe the issue is the location of the wg merge. 90 degree merges are never ideal for waste gate priority.

I'm on a 376 ci and my 39mm gate is controlling my TC78 just fine. Try hooking up your controller and add another spring to the gate. See if that helps. If it doesn't, then that should be your problem...the wastegate that is. But don't add the spring and not hook up the controller. You already know what will happen.

creep is commonly poor location instead of poor flow.
pics of hotside and WG location?
most people install the WG as a total afterthought on a turbo kit.
if you are gunna do that might as well install a 60mm so it can at least try to control the boost.
