Default radiator for f1 procharger

i bought a used f1 procharger kit from a guy and it came w/ a Delphi ra1081 radiator and i looked it up and it said meets or exceeds oem specification... is it worth replacing the stock radiator with this one or should i just use my stock radiator as per the procharger book says

thanks guys

I know a lot of guys with "BE COOLS" on old school sbc and bbc setups and they work with out fail..However it seems that here on tech the masses just have a preference for griffin.. I too have not seen much about failures with be cool.. But I could have over looked it..

Hmm... That seems VERY odd to me, what types of vehicles were they in? Be Cool's are 100% TIG welded and are aircraft grade aluminum, I have also owned many of them and have never had a problem. Also, It looks to me that the new COPO's have quite a few Be Cool parts on them!

Give Paul at C&R racing. They build nice pieces(nascar, indy, etc). I got a nice piece with GREAT service. Mines in a nova and they bought a radiator support from the vendor i used and built it off that. Got pics if you would like.

it depends on your setup and if you have a/c and how hot it gets in ct. that lt1(1081) radiator might be fine for cooler weather but if you plan on going back to texas your gonna need a good cooling setup if you want to drive it during the hotter months. you will see the lt1 rad with 2 fans on the engine side and one on the oppisite side to help things but in the end when you search on this subject you'll come up with what suites your budget and what might work best for your setup.

I live in Houston Tx. I ran the LT1 radiator with no real problems and I ran A/C in the summer it would run about 200-210 in traffic and nice driving durring the day. At night it ran 180's-190's and of course i drove it aggressively lol. A lot of getting them to work it using the factory air defflectors everyone like to throw out right off the bat like they just did something to help themselves lol! I Dont think there is anyone here that has done what I was doing with the LT1 radiator and SDCE fan setup. But I liked the smaller radiator as it allowed me to get a decent air filter set up on the car. GL!
