Basically, everything from my mustang, but more street friendly. Quick run down

91 Fc base, i snagged some 4 piston calipers
5.3 Litre
TSI powerglide
going to do a solid 8.8
Borg warner S475
Edelbrock ProFlo
E85 and 16 injectors. (the reason, Non-Intercooled)
Controlled via a Holley Dominator w/ Stock Coils

Anyway, couple quick pics

Decided the other night to begin with the transplant of the ford mustang 8.8 and ditch the IRS and this is where we are at. All steel is 3/16" and 1/4". Except the upper torque box mounting locations, their are 1/8" but braced very well, and the brackets will be 3/16".

The uppers are 3x2x1/8" box mounted perpendicular to the frame rails and plated around to give re-enforcement and to add more welded surface area, then tied into the main chassis support/hump deal behind the seats with 1x2, i did this to add forward bracing for something to push against. I was just paranoid. Now, it is not finished, i will connect them through the center.

I plan to close the end of the 3x2 in with some 1/8" steel plate then weld a 1 5/8 x .034 wall tube between them to tie them together. The roll cage will also tie into this point in the center like a "V" as added structure.

The bottom brackets are 3x3 angle 3/16 thick by 12" long, mounted to the bottom/rear of the floor, much like the grannies kit, but spanning the entire length of each side. I did this because im a HUGE fan of more surface area. For the moment, they are simply bolted in place like the grannies kit, once completed, they will be bolted 6 more places and fully welded on all touching surfaces, since the metal has raised areas and low areas. However, i did this since the bottom is all 1/4 and 3/16, so ill take it apart and finish weld all of it at work with the big Miller 211 or the arc welder. Either way, im sure my lincoln 180 could get it done, the tacks burned through, but i feel more comfortable on thicker metal with a nicer welder. Anywho, the axle is at ride height, set it up for a 26-27" tall tire.

Shocks are QA1 dbl adjustable with way to heavy of a spring, (i think 125lb), ill get some lighter springs once i figure out a good starting place. Anywho, HUGE THANKS to BLAKE! I visited his thread more then a few time in the last few days preparing for this and cant thank him enough for the quick answers on a few questions i asked him. Also, great talking to ya tonight man!

Anywho, just need to cut the top brackets out tomorrow and burn them in and finish weld and she can set on the ground.. Oh, after i get the axle/spool package from Moser.

Anywho, onto the crappy cell phone pics.

Out with the old, in with the new

Thanks man, yeah, its been alot of fun fabbing it up so far, that was about 12 hours of work there, i think we spent more time lining it up and centering it then we did to just get the bottom into a tacked place.

Still though, its been alot of fun.

That thing is gonna rip. Did Holley get the coil on plug issue sorted out? I remember they were having some issues with the stock coils taking a dump over a certain amount of boost. Cant wait to see your car finished.

Thanks man, i hope its quick.

As far as the Holley, i believe so. They are sending new units that are supposed to be good to roll.

do the other 8 injectors mount at the top of the intake runners? im curious as to how much that will help cooling wise since your doing no intercooler. also, since theirs two injectors per runner, are you using two smaller injectors compared to one larg injector? thanks

Yes they mount up high. We are also very curious as well, but more curious as to how much a difference it'll make, since we firmly believe it'll make a good difference. Their is no data to prove one way or the other that we can find anywhere... So why not... haha

Injectors are 120# LowZ on the top and 60s HighZ on the bottom.

haha thats a bad *** fuel setup. definately the coolest one i seen yet. i think it will work pretty good also. 180lbs of injector per cylinder looks like its going to be tricky to tune, especially with two different injectors and two different sets of injector data. curious to see how this turns out

That looks kuhl as heck and is like nothing I've seen before.
