Time to give up the 98 PCM?
So I am getting together the items to help my car get tuned.
Problem is I have a 98 PCM and plan on running 16Lbs.
So I know I am shooting for a 2.5 Bar map, however will this work with the red headed PCM or should I just purchase a new MAP and PCM and be done with it?
Also wondering is my Siemens 60# injectors will be good enough when changing to a 2.5/3 bar MAP

I've heard of tuners being able to push past the 14.7lbs on 98 pcm's. Tuners would need to jump in here, but I'm going to run my 98 pcm and see how it goes before I attempt to repin the harness or goto a Holley efi setup.
Goto the tuning section and search repin and you will find the diagram etc that is needed.

it's a pain in the *** and your fuel gauge will not work unless you have someone that knows what they are doing do a fuel segment swap with EFI live or tunercat and even then it doesnt work sometimes. If I had to do it over i'd just buy a 99+ dash harness and get a 99+ engine harness and PCM

Not too bad to do. Buy and labeler and have at it. It took me less then a day to do mine with a few breaks in. Here's a link I used for reference.

I dont know all what was done to the car before I got it. It was already boosted but I changed everything in the engine bay but the intake, harness and computer.
I got it with a hurt twin turbo 5.7 and a tore all that out and put in a 05 LQ9 and a single turbo.
As far as I know its a 98 computer and harness. I'm runnning a speed density tune with no O2s and a 2 bar Map. On the dyno we had the AFR stable at high 10s.
It made good power 675whp

You can run more than 15psi on a 98 but at that point there is no fueling compensation for boost spikes as it is reading the last row of the ve table.
The best way to do it would be a 99+pcm and 3bar sensor.

Another + 14psi 98 pcm owner.like intmd8 said you have to rely on the last row in the ve table and you can also use the BE table for enrichment.one thing id point out I have that same turbo on my lq4 and the turbo started to run out of steam around 14psi. going from 14 to 16 psi with 11.2 afr netted only a 1mph gain at the track. The turbine is just to small for a 6l above 14psi.but all in all the 98 pcm isnt that bad.only reason I may go to the 0411 is to get my car to pass emissions since I have access to a 5 gas analyzer
