Default 91 S-10 Front Mount 5.3 L33/GT45/TH350/ Holley HP EFI update 3/10/13

Whats up guys!To give you a little history this is the 3rd s10 that i have started to build the previous 2 were sold before completion and thats not going to happen with this one. Been working on this s10 for a while now and finally getting to a point were some progress is getting made. Bought the truck a few months ago with a running 350 and th350 in it. Decided I wanted LS power so looked on the net for a while till i found the 5.3 l33 a few hundred miles away. Made the trip to pick up the motor is had 140k on the clock and paid 800 for it. Got the motor and transmission out and started working on the cage. The first plan was to put the motor and tranny in with a nitrous kit and have fun. Well as my plans changed as I watched some of the builds on here run the GT45 ebay turbos with great success. The orignal plan for the turbo was a simple shortie on one side and a log on the other. Well that quickly changed and fabbed up what you see below. The current parts list i have so far are listed below.

5.3 L33
Holley HP EFI with Boost Control Built In
TH350 RVMB with Trans brake
TCI 3500 Street Fighter Nitrous converter
LS6 Intake and Throttle Body
EMUSA Waste Gate and Blow Off Valve
Holley Fuel Rails
Ford 8.8 Cut down to stock S-10 Width(already installed)

Still Need to decide on what injectors im going to go with and what pump or pumps. Any ways on to the pics.....and please remember this is very harsh fab up with alot of clean up left to do.

Nice build! I really like the turbo placement, will it require the use of an oil scavenging pump?

Any idea what the minimum drop is for an oil drain before a pump is required? I'm thinking of putting a turbo on my currently under construction, 99 s10 ls1/t-56 daily driiver. It didnt occur to me to mount the turbo where you did. I must admit the idea is growing on me.

Well from my understanding typical high mount turbos gravity feed the oil back to the pan. So since mine is almost level actually below the oil will need to be pumped back to the pan.

I see a lot of guys going with the th350 and a turbo. Are they really that strong? What are you hp and trq goals? Good luck on the build.

They are fairly strong and for the price I got it I couldn't pass it up. I'd like to make around 600 to the tires and maybe run some high 9's. Trying to get it as light as possible.

Well got some more work done and as you can see made some changes to the set up. Waiting on my narrowed rack to come in and get the steering back together and still need to mount waste gate then its time weld every thing and send it out to get coated......on to the pics

Hoping to get some more stuff done the end of this week.
