~GUESS HOW MUCH BOOST I'LL MAKE THREAD~ (procharger 4.50 pulley)
Alright I'm going to be running
Head unit-D1sc-4.50 pulley
FMIC-CXracing
Bypass Valve- Big red bypass
Crank Pulley-7.65"
Engine mods-Lt's, 224r cam, LS6 intake/ported tb
How much boost do you think will I be pushing with the 4.50 pulley? And if I make to much boost at the rpm I'm at now can I regulate max boost by lowering the shift point?
Like say I have my shift points set at 6600rpm and make 8psi. If I were to lower the rpm to 6000 would it be closer to 6psi max boost?
Thanks ahead for your input!

I'd say 8-9 psi at 6500...depending on the blower inlet/filter and belt slip ofcourse.
I was making 10-11 psi on a stock LS6 with full exhaust with a 4.38" pulley spinning it to 6500. Made 622rwhp.

Depends on cam, intake, exhaust, heads. Like I said in another post, stock long block with 241 heads and a ls6 intake, cheap LTs no cats and bobs blower cam. With a 4.25 pulley it was making 11psi at 5700rpm. It may be smarter to get a bigger pulley rather then limiting your rpm.

Some of us aren't as daring as you haha, if I didn't see how yours ended up I probably would of left mine as is and had the same problem.

SBE ls1
4.13 pulley
D1SC
9lbs @ 5800-6000 rpm.
That was with the ATI FMIC and the truck inlet with large filter and the 7.65 ATI.
241 heads stock
228/228 .588 .588 114lsa
Alkycontrol
599rwhp 577rwtq ---- On the same dyno without the D1 I laid down 393rwhp and 366rwtq. That was a 206rwhp gain.
You can basically choose the boost via RPM while its being tuned. If you hit 6500 rpm and it hits 9lbs. Drop the rpm down on the motor and get it down to 6-7lbs.

Okay so most of you say 8-9lbs at 6500. I'm wanting to be at 6lbs or less. So say I make 9lbs at 6500rpm than how much boost would I make if I lowered it to 6000rpm? I'm thinking that would be me around 7lbs?
What else can you do if you're making more power or more boost than you want besides changing the pulley? If I retard timing down more will this increase on decrease boost?
