Need help choosing a turbo for 370ci
Hey guys I need help choosing a turbo for my 370lsx. I'm currently running a turbonetics t76 with the 68mm f1 turbine wheel on a lq4 with stock heads and LS6 cam... Made some nice power but will need to upgrade with the other motor. I do have a ptb7675 CEA on the side. Will the pt7675 be good match for a 370ci?? Thanks...

What does your motor build consist of? Heads? Cam? Intake? For 800+rwhp i'd say atleast a good 78mm turbo. If i were you, i would sell the turbos you have and buy a s480 $900 turbo. I have a lq4 with a 80mm and i'm looking for 900rwhp plus, yet still having great spool. The reason why you aren't getting that many responses is because this is a topic that has been discussed forever. Try a search and you'll find everything you need to know. Hope this helps!

Check out the new Turbonetics T-series with the 75mm turbine wheel. A billet 7675 will be a direct bolt on to where you current T76 is but be able to flow much more! Let me know if you have any questions!

PT7675/370 combo is a killer street setup. Spools almost instant on a 370 and will rev to 7k. I use it on a 6 speed car and considered upgrading to a PT88 but the spool on the 7675 is absolutley killer for a street car. If you go to the track alot get a PT88 or S80. If you mainly are ripping around town and street racing the PT7675 is an absolute animal and will make your 800 whp goal. Maybe not a whole lot more than that efficiently but it will be alive the whole powerband and make a very stout 800.
There was a member on here with an RX7 with a LS3 in it and switched from 7675 to an 88 and liked the smaller turbo much better for a street car. That convinced me to stay put where I am at.
I cannot tell you how the Tnetics 7675 will work. Probably will carry the power up top a little more than their F1 turbines but I believe the compressor turbine and cover are the same as your current. Roughly 900cfm. Probably would be a good choice as well. Precision has a bigger compressor cover and 3" compressor outlet on it bumping it to 1150cfm making 800 wheel a litttle easier on it. For a street car under 850 wheel I would go 7675 no question. If you decide to go big and use BW just save money and go T6 s80. Forcedinductions.com is probably the cheapest you will find one. Well under 1000$. Maybe like 700$ range but dont quote me. The turbo is much cheaper and will big end like no tomorrow. Again though this all depends on your goals. You are giving up spool on the street.
BW is the most durable turbo as well I might add.

The new Turbonetics unit is in a T-series compressor housing. It does have a 2.5" outlet, but it is a larger and much better flowing cover when comparing the TC or Hurricane series turbos! I have never seen a Turbonetics unit fail which is why I prefer them so much. Also to go along with their 1-year hassle-free warranty and great customer service!

WHat is the CFM output on it? It would be interesting to compare it to a Hurricaine 76 compressor map. Being that Tnetics shells out the massive money to get compressor maps made it is possible to do. Precisions do not have maps which isnt a big deal it is just cool to plot your motor and goal out on paper first. The compressor map will tell you alot.

Thanks guys for the info!! I just don't want to make any mistakes as far as taking things apart n trial n error but it is part of the show.. What do you guys think about the turbonetics mid frame turbos? Or even the Super T's? I really like the way those Tnetics comp housings look but at the end of the day that won't win a race Lol. I've done alot of research and reading so that's why I'm asking on this thread so that the guys that been there done that can school me down, and help me make the right decision.

The mid frame turbos are nice but for the $$ just get a Borg Warner. I have seen good things from a T-88 or the 91s but they are pricey compared to the BW counterpart.
Great turbo IMO especially if you got a deal on one. There are better options for the $$ though.
