So we started on my buddy's Trans am build now. Old setup was same everything but with a pt78gts. Went 9.90's on a base tune from speed inc. heres a pic of the old set-up..
Brings us to now. Last season found a spun rod bearing so pulled it out and sold turbo kit for new build. Everything the same except a new kit and turbo. It will be a divided hotside for the turbo which is a s480 1.32 a/r. Mini front halfed the car for more room and new radiator. Here's a few pics..

motor is solid mounted, no flex joints. With it being mild steel and not much flex, I think it will be ok and have seen many people go this route. If not, i can always cut a section out and put a flex joint in.

Well Dennis (020NN20) did the front end and stuff, I'm just giving a helping hand on his car. He's doin all the TIG welding, I'm just for a extra hand and ideas from what iv learned what to do and what not to do after building my kit, lol. The drivers side is finished and routed so I'm sure updated pics will be up shortly.

Drivers side done and welded. Turned out pretty good. Now that the hotside base is done, time to pull it off, clean it up, pull the motor and get some cam bearings put in it, honed out a bit for clean up, and start the reassemble. While its out We are going to finish up the cowl, reroute and clean up the brake lines, and finish up the fuel cell install. Will post pics of the fuel cell I made as well. More to come.
