Default Turbo 6.0 4-Door Fairmont Build

Kinda late on getting my build thread started i just cranked it today. But here are some pics. Some of these pics are when i drove this car back and forth to work.I just put a aje kmember in bout 2 weeks ago and busted *** and got this thing together . Thanks to Denmah i have a micro squirt 2 that works great .It"s a 150,00 mile 6.0 with a used 80mm turbo and a junky looking turbo kit i built from a bunch of scrap parts.

Yeah that's the only one that I know of that will get the motor down low enough for a truck intake.

I like the wheels you have on it. Are you gonna put the bumper back on? What kind of turbo is it? Any vids you can share of some spirited driving?

Yeah I'm gonna stick it back on. It's a Garrett 80mm off a friends camaro he went to a t6 flange. I'm just looking for around 600 rwhp . My other turbo car makes 670 and it's fun but this is some junk I threw together with left over parts so this car should be fun to drive and play with. Yeah I'm gonna post some vids as soon as I get the tranny fixed it lost 3rd gear when it was in my other fairmont.I should have it fixed by next week hopefully.

Believe it or not a th350 I've had it for awhile and had good luck with it except for the 3rd gear. Haha . It's got a precision converter in it. It'll stall to around 3500. I actually bought a controller for a 4l80e but haven't come across one yet.

Thanks. I would be happy with just running in the 10's and driving to the track. I try not to set my goals to high but I plan on pushing this motor to 20 psi . I got a few backup motors laying around just in case. Haha

Been driving the Fairmont to work everyday and its running great . I've been doing some crazy high speed burnouts and laying down 11's everywhere. I guess somebody call the cops on me because they've been stalkin my house for the last week and sitting down the road from where I do my testing. I'll be putting up some video of it here soon.Hopefully this weekend.

Man I sure could use a TON of info from you if you don't mind. I'm doing a fairmont right now too.

1- I see you got the truck intake on with the AJE K member, is that using the standard LS mounts?

2- What did you do for fuel system and injectors?

3- What kind of boost controller you running?

4- Have any more pics of how you did the hot side and cold side stuff?

5- What size and brand wast gate?

Sorry for all the ?'s, but I'm at a crossroads with mine on whether to turbo or not and I got some $'s burning a hole in my pocket lol.

TIA

In reponse to streetknight my hot side is pretty junky no merge at all it just goes straight into the pipe. my other Fairmont has the turbo sitting on the other side though. I welded it with my tig and spent some time on it. I didn't spend but about an hour building this hot side haha. But it works great. It works just as good as my corvette with a ttix kit kinda hard to believe but it does.

Yeah matt It took me about an hour to install the harness and fire it up. It actually only took me 2 week to build this hole car turbo kit and everything. I've been having a blast in this car. I've had 4 other turbo cars in the past but this one is the best not looks wise but in streetablity and fun. All my other friends have racecars and they're sitting at the house while I do smokey burnouts in front of there house.haha

Believe or not I haven't changed nothing the car runs to ggod and the a/f ratio is spot on haven't changed a thang. That's why I wanted to get you to build another one for my other Fairmont same tune.haha. My other Fairmont has ms1 that I never could get to act right.
