Default Which turbos for my LSX427?

Need some info on twin turbos. I am venturing into new territory here.

2011 Camaro M6, HKE built LSX427 9.5 CR with Mast 305 black label LS7 6 bolt heads, dragonslayer crank and callies ultra billet rods with Wiseco blower pistons

Currently running a D1SC from my previous LS3 setup and it is not up to the task with this big breathing HKE motor. Major belt slip at 5300rpm....still over 700rwhp though

I am wanting to try twin turbo for something different. Its 99% just a street machine that will see the occasional 2.5 mile road course and the strip occasionally.

My goals are 1000rwhp running 93 octane blended with 3 gallons of Sunoco 104 for an octane of about 95-96. I also have ALKY meth installed.

I was looking at the Precision Turbo PT6766 units and would like the flexibility to grow to 1200 or so RWHP later on. The entire driveline is already built for this.

My shop is giving me a great deal on this and it needs to be the Precision Turbos since they are a distributor.

So.....????

thanks

Look into the Turbo Technology (or Granatelli) System. Should meet your goals nicely.

I put the older 6765's on a 427 with TrickFlow 235's, a Fast 102, and a C6 manifold turbo kit. It made 997whp on 21lbs on a Dynojet, converter unlocked. I expected a tad more and we'll be turning it up a bit more soon.

That being said, its an absolutely killer combo on the street. No traction under 60 with 335/30/18 drag radials. Its fun.

If you want more than 1200, Id go bigger than the 67's.

Twin 67s seem to small. Your better off with a set of 72mms or bigger.

When i mentioned an equivilent to GT3794 my shop said that was way overkill for my goals of 1000rwhp with room to grow ultimately to 1200whp. He said the 6766 units would be way more appropriate.

Like i said, im a turbo newb and am really wanting to give it a try vs going F1X or the new V11 from Vortech

The 67s would be fine...for some weird reason, a lot of folks around here like to put way too much turbo for what their actual goals are.

Out of Curiousity, why not try and F1/2/3 on your Camaro? Aren't they available? You're going to be changing an awful lot of stuff, or are you just looking for something different?

Dave and to all those who chimed in here. Huge thanks

Yes, I was looking into F1x or the new vortech equivalent. I love my Centri D1SC but its way overtasked......though still out of control for my goals....streetcar.

I am getting a deal on the twin precision turbos custom fabricated by my shop for damn near cost. Monster Clutch/SNL Performance is my go to shop and they have built this car from the ground up so far.

I trust them with no hesitation. SNL has never steered me wrong. But in the end, i am the one who is responsible for my decisions. Hence the reason for my thread here.

So, twin Ball bearing PTE6766 custom fabbed on my huge HKE lsx 427 or bust?

Thanks for the expertise....newbs suck ***!

Are going with a custom kit??
Check IPS they an amazing TT kit for 2010+ Camaro and good for 1200rwhp

The PTE6766 is an awesome turbo we have it on 454ci C6 ZO6 making 1085rwhp 1091rwtq on 15-16psi 91octane 90f spools freaking fast too

Yeah I mean the 6766s are perfect set of turbos for your build. More than enough. I was just saying 72mm or bigger will definately get you over 1200RWHP with ease.

Yes, this is a custom fabrication, manifolds, cold side, hot side etc. Im getting it for well less than a new procharger head unit and intercooler. Im going to start at about 18psi and see what these turbos give me. Planning on journal bearings and no boost controller...well i guess my right foot is a boost controller. This is just a street car.
