408 turbo cam ??'s
I am going to run a t7875. 10:2.1 compression, stock 317 heads on my 408. Will a ls6 z06 cam be enough to make 700whp? Definetly on a budget. Thanks in advance.

It was a nitrous motor and I lost interest in nitrous. Huron speed kit with a 7875 is what i was recommended. Not looking for 1000whp. Something around 700whp that does well on the street. So i take it ls6 cam will be ok?

You were reccomended something that is a terrible match to what you have.
That turbo is not a good match for a 408 inch motor. Hell it would take a pair of them to let a 408 breathe properly.
You need to find someone new to take advice from.

These 3 units would be where id start.
Its a 408 inch motor. A T4 based unit will NOT be enough for the motor to breathe. These are T6 based units with 104mm to 112 mm turbine wheels that will allow it to breathe like it needs to.
Your other option is doing a twin kit.

i would not run those heads or that cam, those heads and cam go well with a stock cube 6.0, that was my first build... Im on a 408ci now like you but running an S480 turbo which honestly is the smallest turbo id go with on a 408... 88 or 91mm definitely optimal... having said that I did manage 800rwhp on only 10psi...step it up to at least an 80mm or larger snail ,keep the SB, upgrade everything else...ur just gonna be dissapointed...

If I recall, Anthony at fast track had 317s on his old 408 and put down almost 1000 rwhp with a PT88 T4 setup, but thats going off memory..... if so the 317s will do what you want them too, on a budget. Hit him up to be sure...

I don't mean to counteract experts with more experience than myself, but didn't Killer-LS1 use a 402 and 76mm T4 turbo on his first build and make 750ish hp. I agree that 91-94mm is much more commonly recommended for 402-408's, but if he's not looking for a 1000hp combo, then shouldn't it already be proven to work?
