Default Anyone make a Plug and Play dual fuel pump + hobbs switch wiring harness

I asked in Fueling & Injection subsection but didn't get many responses.

I've been in the process of buying parts for my turbo build. Wiring isn't one of my strongest attributes so I've looked at the idea of buying the dual Walbro GSS340/GSS341 pumps and installing them myself, but having the wiring done before hand.

Does anyone sell a plug and play dual fuel pump + hobbs switch wiring harness?

I already asked racetronix but they don't make one and the Lonnies double pumper is also out of my price range. So im looking for other options.

Don't you just have to put the Hobbs switch inline for the power to the second pump? That's what I did. Also added an LED light so that I can easily tell if the second pump doesn't come on after 1psi.

I would guess since they make a triple setup they could make a double for you.

We sell double harnesses in our web store which can be used for almost any application. We just do not sell the PnP version that Lonnie uses as a DIY item at this time. Everything you could possibly need is available in our web store with more selection, better quality and pricing that the aforementioned vendor.

I told him abt lonnie over in fueling section but he said lonnies was out of his price range? so....... w any FI build fuel is the most important part and the only thing in between a safe set up and boom..........also w most FI builds u can throw that budget out the window, dont skimp on fuel system and/or wiring for it u will pay for it later.

The odd thing about it is that Lonnie's prices are very reasonable. By the time you sit down and add up all the parts, shipping and other incidental charges (not including broken parts) Lonnie's DP only ends up being about $100-$150 more. At least Lonnie's setup is FULLY plug and play, proven, tested and c/w excellent support. DIY has its fun and pride factor but in many cases it ends up being penny wise and pound foolish. Lonnie gets a constant stream of people asking for help with their DIY builds b/c of problems.

I agree if u add up all the various parts involved theres not alot of markup in it and its so easy just to plug it in and go, if u have issues wiring its the only way to go.

I have Lonnie's twin pump 340 kit with racetronix harness, it was $1000 with new basket, don't go cheap on a FI fuel system.

Because I'm looking for a PnP wiring harness outside of buying a fuel pump kit doesn't mean im skimping out. That's ridiculous you would think that.

Why I understand that Lonnies system is literally drop in. I'm looking to save a few bucks and do most of the leg work myself while trying to get a PnP wiring harness. If for some reason I pay more vs there system then lesson learned while on the flip side if I save a few bucks building my own then I came out on top.

I totally agree with you sir. I actually would almost do things myself even if they end up costing me more. So far with everything I have less than $300 dollars invested in my dual 340 setup and it is complete with pumps, wire, hobbs, and showerhead manifold. For less than $500 I will have a complete return style 8an fuel system. I appreciate everything the vendors have to offer but part of this being my hobby is to do absolutely as much of the fun myself.

Listen i didnt mean to sound like if u didnt get lonnies stuff u were skimping i just know from personal experience that theres not another plug and play wiring harness out there thats made thats models lonnies standards- the gauge of wire, the relays, the connections to the pumps all of this. The problem w pulling the basket and mounting the pumps urself is the factory bulkhead is not set up for this wiring so it requires putting in new electrical bulkhead and new wires and connectors for the pumps. I totally envy your drive and want to learn and do things urself, i am a licensed electician and i can wire, read schematics, when your dealing with gas and wiring in the tanks ill let someone do it, not mention if you get quality pumps ( AMERICAN MADE ) and the correct wiring and bulkhead necessary to do this safely i didnt save enough to do it myself. Did not mean to offend u trust me im not that kinda guy.

I thought twin 340's would run $300 just for the pumps.

Have you installed the pumps from sho me speed yet? is it pretty straight forward and easy to install? seems like these are the way to go. With wire harness and hobbs switch it is half the price of lonnies kit.

That was kind of out of line IMO.

Why not just come out and say it?

Racetronix:
Our products are better quality and are cheaper, with more selection to boot, than shomespeed's.
Come on now..

I have... Everything works perfectly. I had an initial issue with a pump (my fault) and when I called they were going to ship me another pump that day and I could return mine when it came in. No questions asked. I ended up fixing my problem 5 minutes after I got off the phone with them.

I have a dual 255 setup.

I'm curious... Price on dual 255s with 2 hot wire kits. I already bought mine and know what it costs. Just curious if you can actually beat it... It wouldn't be easy. You can PM me if you can't post publicly.

Lonnie does awesome work and knows his stuff. But his prices are absolutely insane. If you did enough work on your car to need two pumps, you can install a DIY twin 255 setup. If not, you probably shouldn't have done any of your other mods.

I got that same kit from them before I switched to a single 340lph Racetronix.. just to let you know if you used that plastic Y-fitting that came with their kit it will split and crack over time. It needs to be replaced with a metal Y-fitting.
