Default Big power with ls2 block???

Looking for reliable combo's running stock sleeves, and main caps with forged internals. Is a honest reliable 1000-1100 RWHP too much to ask from the block without upgrading sleeves and caps?
Thanks! J

At 4.000-4.005" should be doable, I think there are a few over that power level on here. Mine failed at about the 750hp mark but it was at 4.030".

The only thing I would worry about would be the caps "walking" around. Get them pinned and it should be a good, light motor. Fireball on here was running a stock sleeved ls2 that finally let go at somewhere north of 1500 hp..... Ended up cracking a sleeve.

With the weight of your vehicle, I would stay away from aluminum engine blocks, unless its a dart or RHS castings.

I would go another route with a different block. Never know when that LS2 will give up on you.

My ls2 has pinned mains and is otherwise stock. Car dynoed 800rwhp on 15 psi.

LS2 block can be very strong with pinned mains and a little bit of block fill.

I think mightymouse was using an ERL aluminum block that was stock ls2 cubes

Yes it is to much to ask for. Has been done. Reliable, 1000rwhp,stock sleeves. Might be reliable for a little bit.

Thanks for the replies good info. That's kinda what I was afraid of as well as main cap walk on the window style blocks. Also don't want flexing cyl walls and a binding crank costing my power. Do the blocks usually break at the top of cyl like pic above?

Australian 98 octane street fuel, which is about the same as 93 octane for you guys. Was only running 7psi when I noticed the failure, but it might have started cracking months earlier when I was running 15psi. No detonation on the logs, but no doubt it had detonated at some point.
