Default mid frame turbo

Hey guys I purchased a mid frame turbo a while back.... it's a 88mm comp wheel and a 75mm turbine wheel. I'm currently running a tnetics t76 and must say that physically it's huge compared to it over all. Now I'm worried as far as this thing choking up planning currently having a 370 built n using stock 317s I've been emailing with Martin @tick (OH by the way I need to send a spec sheet for the cam) on having a custom cam with set up. How much rwhp can this turbo support giving it has a 75mm turbine wheel.

It may make more than 800rwhp, but the main problem will be average power lost from torque not being able to carry as far into the higher rpm ranges that it could from the turbine causing drive pressure issues. That turbine wheel would work great on a 4.8 or maybe 5.3 that wanted to make 1000rwhp like you do, but I feel that turbine wheel will not be able to support the flow potential of the compressor wheel.

I'm kinda in the same boat man. I got a mid frame 78 with the 75mm turbine. I'm only on a 347 so hopefully that helps but is got my thinking I should of saved the cash and went s480

I hope to make 800-900. But we will see.

Good luck and lest us know how you fair on this

I think we can work around most of it with cam timing and overlap.
