How many times I have posted this question................................
But heres the deal. Go to lingenfelters site and look at thier picture of the magnacharger. Notice what injector hole the rear belt ends at (or 1/8 inch shy of)
now go pop the hood of your closest ls1 f body and see where that injector lines up with your cowl. I personaly think it will fit with minor modifications if any and that people just look and say no way. I dont think anyone has ever physcialy tried. I would do it except I dont have the patiance to switch over my accessory system to the vettes. There is a lt1 car running around (i dont know if hes on this board) with an eaton 112 on it. Custom done with no cutting of anything.

Dont LT1's sit lower in the engine bay?
I would LOVE to pop one on my ws6 but am wondering of that Petition thread is going to go through.
How much power can you actually run on that blower.....considering if you dropped the compression ratio down to an acceptable level?

it would be nice if we could get special motor mounts that sat the motor lower and a modified pan that formed around a aftermarket k member. the only problem i see with that is the angle the driveshaft leaves the tranny and pinon angle as well.

I'm wondering because I would like to know HOW MUCH room would be needed to make a Magnacharger fit on an LS1 F-body.

Looks like the blower itself is just under 6 inches.

I think someone needs to come out with a custom wiper cowl if that's what is stopping us from using the magnacharger on our cars. I for one would throw down the money for it if that meant beating the **** out of a few vipers

I called Magnacharger they told me that it was 3" taller than the LS6 intake and I measured and I think it was like 2.25" to the cowl in my car and a BMR crossmember droped the motor @3/4" but you will still need more room for movement of the motor ETC... I thought about cutting the motor mouts to lower it more but it is already putting the oil pan close to the ground on my lowered car so I ended up getting a gread deal on a Vortec and put that on the back burner for now just what I found out while playing with the idea. It can be done just how far do you want to go and remember you will have to get a different pulley set up also as the vetts are 1" closer to the motor ETC... Good luck! You can do it if you want to spend the money ETC...
