I thought the car had some goofy rear wing on it then I realized it was a grill.

Looking forward to the build.

The grill is a goofy wing on the rear, it's for when he needs to actually bbq the remains of those he races.

Its a 5.3 ally block bored to 3.905 with callies rods and diamond pistons. My thinking was, the block is gonna give up before the crank... We shall see. The price was inline with everyone else, TSP etc. When price checking them, be sure to choose the proper things, rings, pistons, main studs, etc.

Yes! YES we will have to get them together when they are done! Are you pretty close to getting them wrapped up?

Thanks again guys!

Well... Thats a good question haha. I would estimate it should be on the road in the next couple weeks. Now that the motor is in, i should go fairly quick, pending no issues, I get real unmotivated when its stupid humid and hot in the garage...

We shall see.

No problem, lol

Radiator is 17.5" Tall by 30" wide x 3" thick Dual pass

For the fill line im considering two options.

1. Extend a tube from the top of the water pump and put a cap on it.

2. Put it inline in the upper hose right off the front of the pump like the last setup in previous mustang.

As far as a fan, i'm going to try the stock mustang GT fan and see how that works.

As far as how well i think it'll work?

NO CLUE haha. I HOPE it works great. We shall see. I can see where maybe stop light stuff the temp could creep, but i would bet it'll work great cruising or at speed.

THanks lol im thinking about a rad setup like that for the BMW and would be cool to save a lot of room laying it down...Hard to tell in the pic but is the rad laid flat or angle alittle?

If you're not going to have heat on your car you can cap off the rear heater line and get a expansion tank and run the 3/8 hose to the thermostat side. Then you can run the steam vemt to the upper hose, and tap the radiator for a small 1/4 vent hose that returns to the tank. I plan to use a vw style expansion tank amd get a little higher cooling system pressure while im at it. Everywhere ive read, it says Ls motors run better in recirculating system not the old sbc system.

Thanks for the info mr. potatohead. Ive not decided yet if im gonna remove the heater or not. My friends want to "go to town" on ripping the guts out of the dash to get the weight down more. Im not sure how hip i am on that idea just yet.

As far as mounting, when i had the radiator made i had them weld 4 1/4x20 bungs on the face of it, i bout some 1/8" x 1" strap and bent it around the radiator and bolted through it, welded them to the chassis and that was it. Once its done, i will add some angle to the corners to make them more rigid and some foam padding between them and the radiator so they dont rub.
