we'll I got the car up and running ran it up to temp worked the bugs out and got it charging . it started and ran good a little lean but it is running on the denmah tune 100% so a little lean I expect with a 5.3 tune on a 6.0 engine. it will be a while until it gets tuned very much as it will be cold for a few months but I don't have to worry about anything big in the spring. just wanted to give an update and give a thanks to matt and his tune and how to articles for my harness and first ls turbo build.

I strongly suggest you pay for tunerstudio to enable the autotune feature and use it. Be sure to smooth the VE table after driving it 50 or so miles.

And if you haven't done it yet, Verify your commanded timing is correct. with a piston stop and a timing light.

And turn the dwell down on those coils, try around 2.7 ms, and eventually turn them up if you need it.

thanks . I don't think i'll be doing any tuning for a while . I have some cars to finish first but I will check timing and get into the tuning when the weather breaks.

I grabbed his Fairmont tunes since our setups are similar. I can't thank Den ah enough for saving me from the tuning rapists nearby that wanted a fortune just to get the car running with 80 lbers on hptuners.

great news! still running options for myself, this cold weather is a bummer.. makes me want to move lol
