Default Cam suggestions

My setup is a 78/92 T6 with a 1.10 A/R, 347 CI, 9.5:1 compression, 317 heads, LS6 intake, and ill be going with the PY3400 and 3.25 gear (stall and gears are able to change if something else will work better with the cam). It'll be run on 93 pump gas with 80LBS injectors and meth (not sure on amount or mix yet). I want to shift it around 6500. Martin suggested his stage 2 LS2 turbo cam a while back but I'm waiting to hear back if that still stands. Any suggestions are appreciated

For that set-up I'd actually recommend our LS1/LS6 Stage 1 Turbo cam.

227/227 .624/.598 114+5

good movie reference. Martin personally suggested a different cam before which is why I'm asking This was a while ago and i know that the LS1/LS6 is a new line for 2014. I'm just trying to be educated on why his opinion changed.

Martin emailed me back:

Josh,

My main reason for suggesting this camshaft is the cubic inches of your engine. I've learned that it's not best to cam the engine to make more power in N/A form by using a larger cam. Or a cam with more overlap(which N/A engines benefit greatly from). I've found that it's best to balance how efficient the engine is with how efficient the turbo is in supplying the requested airflow needed to make the power. Turbochargers are more efficient in moving certain amounts of airflow at different pressures. They are also less efficient in moving certain amounts of airflow at different pressures. Using the right cam to help achieve these pressures and achieve them without creating more demand from the engine than the turbo can supply is very important.

I feel that the stage 1 cam accomplishes that for you more so than the Stage 2.

Stage 1 LS1/LS6 cam ordered! Just wanted to post this for other's knowledge.
