Default turbo build

Hi everyone,

Im looking to do a turbo build to last. Im thinking an iron 6.0 forged internals 80e s60 or 8.8 or even a 12 bolt. Suspension idk i have dumps so what ever would work well with my dumps.

Thats the plan but what i need help with is who would you buy your forged parts from? What size crank and pistons? Etc.. i just want ideas on builds. Im doing my research now and buying and building later on like a few years.

Thanks for your help.

Texas Speed is a good vendor, as well as Speed Inc. I would do a 4.030" Bore LQ9 or LQ4 with a stock 3.622" Stroke Crankshaft (Even your LS1 Crank works). So, 3.622" Stroke, 6.125" Rod, and 4.030" Pistons (370CID).

I would do a Jakes Performance or RPM Transmissions 4L80e, add a ProTorque or PTC Converter and that is good. For the rear end and suspension, go with Midwest Chassis.

Ive heard some good things about RPM transmissions. I know a lot of people like to ask about power goals, i eventually want to be able to have 1k rwhp for track only. So i want the turbo to be able to get me there. I only want to buy those stuff once bc turbo builds done correctly and lasting long isn't cheap.

Is there any advantages or disadvantages between H beam and I beam connecting rods? Like does the H hold more power over I?

I went this exact route on my TT lq4 build, Solid advise here.

Yes, RPM is very good. They built a friends T56 in his Camaro. It has a 416CID LS3 on 2 Stages and it hasn't missed a beat.

If you want 1000rwhp I would look into a Forced Inductions Turbocharger, the S484 ET-R Billet Wheel Turbocharger would be nice, but personally I would do a GT5518 88mm ET-R HO from Forced Inductions, this would give you room to grow. The turbo system is up to you, PM me if you would like and we can discuss some things. Huron Speed is nice, but custom is nicer.

Yes, there are so low end I-Beam rods that are not great. You have Scat I-Beam rods which aren't made of 4340 Steel and are weaker than there H-Beam counterparts. Basically it goes, Low-End I-Beam, Regular H-Beam, Billet H-Beam, Billet I-Beam, in that order. For 1000rwhp Callies CompStar H-Beam Rods are proven but I personally would pick up some sort of Billet I-Beam Rod. The Callies Ultra Billet, Oliver Billet, Manley Turbo Tuff, or Lunati Pro Mod I-Beam Rods.

Ok found my rotational forged components. It a package from Summit Racing, Eagle Specialty part number 12822060. What is yalls take on it?

Blower cam: what blower cam do you use and why?

Im going with 323 gears, and a 4200 stall.

I was thinking about going with a Comp Cam part number:11-406-5
