Best heads for boost!

Best heads for boost!
Hey guys
Am in process for building a 408 out of an iron block, Am aiming to set the compression right at 9.5 to run the pump gas at low boost and race gas on high boost on my twin turbo C6
Am aiming for 1000rwhp+
The kit is C6 UPP with their upgraded big turbos
The question is, what head style will suit my setup.
Ls3 or cathedral?

Really it depends on if you want the absolute best heads (AllPro, Mast LS7) and want to spend the money. My opinion is a set of TFS 255cc LS3 Heads and an LS3 intake.

Personally if budget is a factor I would go with a set of L92 castings. We just spent some time at SME dynoing Steve's personal ls3, which is all stock except pistons and rods. With a variety of 75mm turbos we made as much as 1200hp throught the stock heads, stock intake, tb, etc etc.

Stock 317 heads recently went 7.80's@174mph and LS1 intake.... in a 3050lb Mustang.
I would also look at a set of LSA castings for sale on ctsvowners.com for $800. Better casting (less porosity thru rotocast process), thicker deck than LS3/L92 heads. For the extra $300-400 I'd say its worth it. Add a performance valve job, dual springs, and mill the deck for a fresh mating surface and be done with it. Stock LS3 intake works great. You can also run stock LS3/L92 rocker arms (add the CompCams trunion bearing kit) on them.
If you have the $ (1,000 more easily) then TFS or AFR.... next up the chain are MAST or AllPro... plus other options (TSP etc).
