I got the eBoost2 that I'm trying to sell right now. I've never hooked it up but I've read a ton on it. It's like a computer of its own. Boost by gear, meth control, over boost shutdown. Just youtube the eboost2 and watch Turbosmart video on it. They go over everything that it's capable of doing, it's like a 4 part video though.

the main difference is 2 presets on the eboost street versus 6 on the eboost2. The other significant difference is that the eboost2 is round and can fit in the typical gauge pod whereas the street is rectangular like a cigarette pack and more challenging to mount.

I have the eboost street works great on my car you can actually get three settings out of it if you turn it off it defaults to gate pressure. It has way more than enough features than most cars need tach shiftlight, boost rpm correction, aux out to turn something on or off, external switch for boost setting which is great for launching

I purchased the eboost street also, just because I didn't need all the extra presets/functions of the eboost2. Still assembling the car so I can't give any performance feedback, sorry.

Waste of money when you can buy a closed loop controller for the same money

The eboost is open loop. It just runs a commanded pwm duty cycle to a single solenoid.

A controller like the ams/boostleash is closed. Loop. It uses 2 solenoids and is watching dome pressure continuously and making corrections to hold the desired target pressure.

For the price difference between ams 500v2 and eboost2. No comparison IMO

The standard 500 is even cheaper and functionally is the same. Just one has the luxury of the ams1000 display

Whilst you do set the base duties, the controller does still operate closed loop.

I've used the EBoost2 on cars running up to 38psi boost, and logs of boost are a complete flatline from once it's spooled up til you change gear from as low as 20psi to the max setting of 38psi

No basic open loop controller would ever give that. There would always be a spike, a dip, a change somewhere.

And you can pretty much do just as much with a single solenoid as you can the way those others use 2 solenoids. At end of the day, dome pressure means little as long as boost target is maintained.
