Default 2000 firebird formula turbo ls1 build

So finally the build starts, my goal is to have it done by April. I started off with with stock 2000 formula m6, I added long tubes, slp lid, and a pro 5.0 shifter. Now I have decided to go boosted. So let the build begin

Today I worked on relocating the battery and removing the ac and radiator. I do plan to try to retain my ac if possible.

Looks like a decent start. You tabbing you own kit or are you buying one from a sponsor? Fuel system?

Does anyone have advice on the manifolds? I need to retain my ac for comfort and bragging rights, but can I flip the truck manifold to clear over the ac compressor? And does the truck manifold clear the alternator on the driver side? Keep in mind I am on stock k member

You could just order a A/C retaining kit from ebay/companies, gonna save you a lotta headaches

Well, I enjoy doing the work myself, and it's not very cost friendly for me. Thank you for that option though

I am pretty sure using a c6 manifold on the passenger side will allow you to keep the ac compressor

I thought so but Iv read a few places that only works if you have a tubular k member and I do not.

C6 manifold only works with a tubular k member. I used a bmr with vertical stands on my build. Mine is built around the ac but I havnt made new lines to hook it up yet.

Good luck with your build.

I got a decent amount of work done today. Installed a hood I picked up, it will need paint but for now it's fine, boxed in the header panel, welded a cross race in place, marked up my ac condenser, radiator and stock fans. This is the first time I ever picked up s welder, not pretty but I jerked and jumped on it and it holds great so excuse my fabricating ignorance.
