Any alloy intake will be a heat sink...in reality it's probably not really worth worrying about given the short time air actually spends in it

Dont see why they would be any different to tune.

You're tuning in a real time environment and conditions with each regardless.

It's just the cost aspect would put me off the billet stuff. The new Fast plastic intakes with different runner lengths look like they would have potential if they can prove to handle boost ok.

Precision Metalcraft. Customer has one in an 06 GTO on a TT 427, fits and performs great. Took a Fast 102 out with a lean pop before that.

That's the hardest bit...people still get superb results using a factory LS6 etc.

So it really does make choosing incredibly difficult, especially if that intake costs a few thousand.

Less than a grand, and there are multiple choices..or standard.

TBH the ProFlo whilst it could do with a larger plenum...at US$4-500...is pretty damn cheap. If it physically fits the car.

I run a PMC intake as well. Jeff is the man, best customer service from any place I have ever bought parts from. The quality is top notch, he doesn't lie about time frames, and very easy to talk to.
