feel free to post more about intended use and budget

for up to around 1200 hp, a reasonably affordable small bore iron block can make plenty of power and work better at a much lower cost

or if you want more the LS next and other alternatives such as a built RHS can be needed as you want more

based on your post, I'd say you got some splainin to do to get any expert advice

The GM LS454 isn't a good boost motor. Much better off starting with a different setup.

HUGE DIFFERENCE in price between Nelson and GMPP motors. Not even on same level.

I've heard a lot about Nelson's engines. Never heard of one wining a race at the track,,, and I race a lot. Who has one in their car that races? Just curious.

Whats good cubic inches to go with using a LSX block for a setup that will make over 1000hp to the ground and will be ran at the track and on the street often?

Don't go crazy on bore size. With boost, you don't need lots of cubes for good power. There are lots of 1200+ hp street cars running on 3 liters. Cylinder wall thickness helps give a block rigidity. This is why there are a several 4.8/5.3 OEM blocks making over 1000 HP on the street without block failure. The cylinder walls have serious meat between them.

Well you can, but you have to keep the boost fairly low. I think under 10 PSI is safe number. Not sure that 10 psi will hit the number your looking for.

I'm sure there are plenty of members who would love to trade that motor for a smaller motor ready for boost.
