Default THE Build Thread

This is the beginning of a build I have been dreaming of doing. I will keep you guys updated as I go. Please chime in with recommendations if you have any. I am not an expert by any means!
The car is a 2001 camaro Z28, it has 31,000 miles. It's never been rained on. Before you think I'm crazy for tearing into this thing, my Dad has a 72 step side Chevy that we are going to transplant all the existing parts into. It's gonna be a badass truck.
My block is an Lsx. Gonna make it a 427 and throw a turbo with e85 at it. Then maybe a 100 shot of Nitrous just to get me over the top. The plan is 1000whp.
It's not gonna be nearly as hard as I thought.
Here is the block, billet caps

Just put in my order to Huron for their V2 T6 single turbo kit. Got the s484 billet with the race housing. Also ordered a 4 stage dry sump kit from Aviaid. I will get pictures up as they come in. Talked to Kevin at Midwest chassis about building a rearend. Also gonna get the K member, front bumper support and roll cage.

I agree, you should not need the N2O to get over 1000.

What's your guys recommendation other than stock or truck coil packs for a high boost e85 motor? I looked at the MSD stuff, just not quite sure what route to go.

Stick with the truck ones. It's not worth the money for the upgrade. Lots of guys out there running them making big power.

I don't recall what efi system you are using, but if it is aftermarket, for sure go with the pantera coils.

Does anyone know if the stock ecms and hptuners will support the pantera coils?

Still doing some research on the efi system. Going to a 58 tooth though, so everything has to change. I'll take a look at those coils though. Thanks!

Running 9:1 Mahle anodized piston. Callies dragon slayer crank and rods. Working on a cam now. When I get the numbers I will let you guys know. Waiting on ARP at this point so we can start machining the block. As stuff comes in I will put pics up!
