When do you have too much injector?
I currently have a set of FIC1000's on my truck. It's an SBE 5.3 with an S480 and after having several changes in plans I decided to forgo installing my meth kit and AMS500 boost controller just for now. I just want to get this project mobile and drive it and have fun for a bit before I try to get carried away. I have the EFISource Microsquirt with the Sloppy Mechanics turbo tune also. Can I run my current injectors even though I am shooting for much less rwhp now or will it become an issue? Eventually I would like to step my game up but for now I just want to drive this pig again

ie 2 injector pulses per cycle or 1 injector pulse per cycle.
If the former, then those 1000cc injectors are effectively becoming as hard to control as 2000cc at low loads because they're always firing twice for every engine cycle.
OEM ecu will always be proper sequential.

I have four vehicles running 2200cc on e85. All of them needed more than 1000 but the 2200s are bigger than needed.
They idle well enough for the setups. Not great. On gas I would not try.
One of the biggest things to look at is the minimum pulse width on the injectors. If they use the old school bosche bodies that are stuck around 1ms be very careful about going too big. Some of the nicer ones that will idle down in the .4ms range are much more flexible.
