Agreed, not familiar with their LSX applications but from what I've seen on SBC and BBC motors, they're pretty damned good.

LS 408 with roots 10-71 blower (BDS KIT). The original owner (This is his video) decided not to repair it after it was hurt on the dyno so now I'm rebuilding it. It'll likely be going into a 1951 Chevy 5 window truck.

I'll be running a 6-71 unless I come across a good deal on something bigger.
It made around 800+ at 9lbs of boost and 923hp @5200 rpms with 15lbs when it broke. Would have been around a 1000 had it made the full pull.
Torque is where the roots blower shines, Made well over 600ftlbs at 3,000 rpms and near 700 at 4,000 rpms.
I'm not looking for max power so I'll probably be running 7-8 pounds of boost so it should be in the 750hp range.

Here is the low boost pull. With torque like this it should be fun on the street.

I have a new 6/71 BDS my son want to buy a LSX 376 B15 long block and add the 6/71 on it . If he can come up with the cash for the motor I will give it to him . Every 17 year old boy needs a blower motor !!!

How big of engine was under that 10/71 ?

I was always worried about how little of the crank that sticks out the front of the LS engines, whether it was enough to support a roots-I ran a couple Prochargers w/o a problem, but used serp. belts.

lrd,
Nice man.

Seeing an old school roots blower on an LS is just bad ***.

How many are out there? It would be nice to see some LS guys putting some reviews up on them.
