Default Supercharger Kit 2000 Formula

Im looking for a supercharger kit for my 2000 Firebird Formula. New or used. It can be a centri, twin screw, or roots. If anyone knows where to get a good kit for less than what they usually sell the procharger at ws6 project let me know.

I'm not even sure if they make a bolt on twin scree or roots blower kit for 1998-2002 F-Body's. I believe Hawks makes one, but it's damn pricey. You'll be best off going with a Procharger setup, or possibly a Vortech setup (both centri blowers).

Edit: The Hawks kit is $6,874.00 with the TB and $6,495.00 without it. I don't believe they are a sponsor anymore, so I can't post the link.

Thats what I seen for the Prochargers too. I really want one but the price keeps me away for now. I prefer centri blowers over any other type of forced induction. Vortech blowers used to be a little cheaper.

Superchargers are pricey, specially if a head unit goes bad which has happened a lot in competitive racing, have you considered a turbo?

I like the turbo idea too. But I hear they are a pain to tune, and they have lubrication problems. The Procharger units are internally lubricated so thats one thing I like about them. I seen this turbo kit for like $2000. I think its the CRX Racing Turbo, and it keeps the A/C. Havent found much info about them from people using them. I would be happy if I can make a little more than 500rwhp. It could be NA or FI.

I was under the impression that turbo kits were far more expensive than supercharger kits

Not really, Especially guys that run their own custom setups.

Gotcha. Coming from the Mustang crowd it always seemed to be the case, so I wasn't sure how it was with the LS stuff
