Default Didnt get my 1.4x 60' with the nitrous :(

But I did get a 10.74 @ 125 with a 1.51

Stock heads/cam/ls1 intake and 8psi + a 50 dry shot, 2x 24 jets, shutting the n2o off at 5900rpm (I shift at 6500) because I'm running out of fuel.

Made 3 nitrous passes: 10.79, 10.74 and a tire spinning 10.95 all at 125mph. and 3 n/a passes, best N/A pass was 11.20 @ 121 with a 1.61 60, it was 20 degrees warmer then the last time it ran a 10.96/124 there and 100% humidity so the car was really off. I really messed up and left some 1.5 month old 93 octane in it, I was getting some nasty KR on the non-nitrous passes but the weather just wasnt in my favor tonight. I bet I can get some low 10s out of this when it cools off out

Half a second out of a 50 shot and shutting it off that early in the rpm range isnt bad IMO, it was very safe, a/f never went over 11.5:1.

Small vid here, thanks TEA Brent for grabbing my video camera for the bast pass

Very nice. You've got a helluva setup. Makes me wonder if your better off just throwing a blower on a stock motor with bolt ons, instead of H/C. It sure is working for you. Congrats.

That is awesome, kp.

Do you have an FI only time. I will put both times in, but I need to rank by blower time.

Is the current rank already that? I'll and your blower/spray times.

Great setup. Must be nice to have a stock idleing 10 second car.

It only ran 11.20 @ 121.5 best last night without the nitrous so the current FI time is correct Mike.

I'm not sure why the car was .2/2mph off from the last time out. Only change is I took the cat back off and put a turndown after the Y-pipe, always ran it with the cutout open anyhow so I think it was just a combination of old gas and weather - it was so humid (75 degrees or so) I had a hard time getting the car on the trailer it was so wet.

I was going to do a cam and up the boost but this seems like a better deal, I have 300.00 wrapped up in the whole thing. 15lb bottle will last 8-10 1/4 mile passes easy. If the pressure drops it wont die like a wet kit. I dont even have a purge on it so its pretty simple, I use my fog light switch to turn it on and a WOT switch.

Hard to beat half a second for 300.00, car is plenty fast for the street so the N2o is pretty much a track only thing.

Congrads KP! Nice numbers even under those conditions(weather/crappy gas).

Kp how do you have the NOS kit ran? How much of a hp shot? and are you retarding the timing when spraying? Those are good results. congrats.

There are some pics of the n2o kit on my cardomain page in my sig. I'm not retarding the timing at all but my timing table is 3 degrees less then stock from 4400 up, I am shutting it off at 5900rpm via an MSD rpm switch so its not on anywhere near peak boost. I dont have enough MAF flow room left to control it so I have to shut it off early, its a dry kit. Its a 50 shot, pair of .024 jets.

Kyle, according to the wideband it was 11.4:1 or so, very safe. Ir runs richer when the nitrous is going so I could stand to lean it a little more and might if I put some better gas in it. I made a couple pulls on the dyno just to make sure it worked OK, didnt even pay attention to the nubers and didnt even have the rpm pickup hooked up to be honest I'm embarassed to say what kind of kind of HP I'm making - its well under 500..

Main reason I did it was to get the car out down low, with the 28" tall tires I'm going through at 6000rpm so the n20 is on pretty much on all the time in 3rd gear and I think it works out great. I just wanted to get the car to run in the 10s in any weather and I think it will do it now. All I need to do is figure something out for nice seats and wait until the cool weather comes or the motor lets go

I think after getting a taste of N2O 60 foots again I may ditch the blower and just go heads/cam/nitrous. The driveline is good enough to get the car close to the 9's now so I may try to see if i can do it with a stock short block..

nah just build the bottom end and stay blown but add a 100-200 shot and you will be flying!

Good meeting you last night KP. Strong running car too! I definitely think humidity was factor for all of us yesterday. Maybe we'll get some better air next time out...

Cool meeting you too Rob, couple nce vettes you had there.. I didnt get home until like 4:30am though. They closed part of 65 and I ended up somewhere in downtown nashville trying to find the expressway I dont know what was up with the weather, it didnt seem that bad but obviously the weather back in april when I ran the 10.96 there with just the blower was a lot better.

I'm still up in the air with the blower. I think I may just leave the car until fall, take some more weight out, switch to a wet kit and try to get whatever I can get before it lets go
