Default First full pass in Vega, 9.45 @ 149.72 mph 6300 ft DA

I got my first full pass in the Vega on Friday night. I was at about 16 psi of boost and low timing. Running 91 octane premium and spraying methanol.
It spun off the line a little but went straight and the brakes worked really well.
The DA was around 6300 to 6400 ft. With our elevation I may try to increase the boost level and add some timing to it on our next night at the track.

Nice time, I really like how you gave the guy in the right lane an almost 5 second headstart and still crossed the line first.

Yes, the boost wasn't up and I did not want to leave until it was. I have a N2O system on to boost it but did not have the bottle in. I will use it next time and see how it works. I have a Hobbs switch that shuts it off at 4 psi.

I am anxious to turn it up some and try it again.

It was at about 11 degrees or so at 16 psi and 6400 ft DA. I am looking forward to turning up the wick.

It is in a Vega with a LS408 with a forged bottom end, S400-HP88 turbo, CNC LS3 heads, Victor Jr., Martin Cam, The car has a Dana 60, Glide and weighs about 2450 without me in it. I weigh about 250 or so with all of my gear on.

Here is a video a local forum found on line of the pass that I made on Friday night.

I live in slc and have seen your car at a Test and tune before at RMR. Never seen it run before though and didn't know it was LS powered. But awesome run buddy. Love to check out the car sometime.

Thanks. I did my license passes at the Saturday test and tune in April.
I also run a yellow H/C/I C6ZO6 at the cruises and cars and coffee so be sure to look me up as I would like to meet you.

Nice job.
And it's nice to see time slips instead if dyno numbers!

Imagine what it would run if you had some real air to run in!

Thanks Ron. I am hoping to turn up the boost a little bit and add some timing to it on Saturday morning and do a little street tuning.
I have been taking it really slow and safe but I am getting closer every time I take it out.
