Default Turbo Flange Gasket?

Im headed home in a few weeks to finish up my turbo build. This might be a stupid question but i haven't seen it covered at all, is everyone just bolting their turbo up metal on metal or are you guys using some type of gasket? Either a paper one or a liquid kind? Sorry if this is a dumb question

You can get a gasket for it but most here reccomend copper gasket maker instead.
