subscribing - planning on doing something very similar. Where did you source the CX Racing cold side? I looked for that a few days ago and couldn't find it on their website...

Ebay is the best bet. Cheaper on there and includes free shipping.

Perfect timing! I'm just about to pull the trigger on everything I need for a budget turbo build. I'll be using cx racing hot and cold sides that retain a/c and using the On3 78/75 turbo. I'll be watching your progress.

here you go guys. sorry not all pics are in order. photo bucket is goofy sometimes. anyways got mounts built. what a pain. trying to get the motor to stay in one place while basically floating was a pain. but i think they'll work. if not ill order some sphoon ones and use those.
got the heads bolted down with the china studs and new gaskets. got the water pump on. rockers back in. valve covers on then did a mock up of the turbo set up. looks like the flanges are warped a bit from the po but should seal still. gonna run double gaskets to make sure unless anyone has a reason not too. had to go pick up some stuff today. intake gaskets oil pressure sensor.

no longer getting the 7875 this season. just gonna run with the 7665 and see what it does. no upgrades on rear end or much suspension so it should be fine for the season.

also ordered my wide band. my scavenge pump an iat sensor egr block plate for the intake and a alternator relocation bracket from on3. hopefully it'll all be here soon. been distracted a bit. bought a new bike also. 86 vmax putting down 130 to the tire. pretty nasty. needs a clutch.

little bit of both. guy i got hot side from said it was a tight fit on down pipe with stock mount.s plus mine were real beat up. im sure they were original mounts. so instead of spending money i decided to try and build some. i work as an electrician at a steel factory so i get alot of stuff for free. took me about 2 hours to wing the mounts. as far as i could tell i was maybe an 1/8 inch off from being dead straight. drilled out the holes on the mounts a bit bigger hoping i can get a tiny bit of adjustability out of them. find out early next week when i throw trans on and put back in cradle to put in car.

little update for the guys that are following.
no pics at the moment
got the intake bolted down. dealing with an oil pressure sensor difficulty at the moment. basically ls1 sensor wont fit and the 5.3 sensor is a 3 wire set up. so gotta make an adapter for the threads.
got the manifolds bolted on. do have to make some spark plug wires tho. ill go into detail when i do it.

wide band came in
just made an order through summit for a torque arm relocation set up.

this weekend is good friday and told the wife dont plan on seeing much of me until sunday. gonna try and knock out a bunch of stuff this weekend. hopefully the motor and trans will be sitting in the car. i would say itd possibly run but i still need a few things but well see. could probably start it up with the stock fuel system in place just to hear it and give me motivation. interested in seeing how the cam is gonna sound.

ill update with more pics a bit later. also got the vmax's clutch changed out.

and if anyone (denmah ) may have a basic tune for something like my build in hpt that'd be willing to send me that would be awesome!! i know how to do injector scaling and sorta know how to modify the fuel tables but i just want it to be good enough to drive to and from work a few times to make sure all is well before i take to straight-line performance for a tune.
