Default Twin 6765s too big for my setup?

My engine builder suggested 6765s for my stock displacement LQ9 but my friends are saying there will be too much lag. Turbos from VS racing.

Should I go smaller?

LQ9 with LSA heads. 900 rwhp.

If you're an auto, definitely nothing to worry about.

I thought vs racing didn't sell a 6765s. They list a 7665 though.

Message Viren Singh on Facebook.

Him and Bret Bauer actually recommended the Borg S366 to me now anyways so I'll use those for my twin setup.

I'll do a proper build thread once I get some parts delivered next month.

I been shooting for 1000chp on a 388ci and AGP pointed me in the direction of their s256s.

crazy difference in turbo size vs similar power goals.

How are people liking the BW knock off turbos? Are they performing as well as a genuine BW performance wise?

S366's would be very big and laggy for only 900hp, unless you're a 427 or near.

yes twins. I won't find out for a while. I haven't order the turbos yet and the car is a minimum 1 year from driving.

you're in the 55lb/min air flow per turbo realm.

I believe a 58/57 precision is 60lb/min. 67/65s look like 90+ from what I can find. That's way too much IMO.

I'm a 370 ci.

If I blow it up I'll go bigger next time. Just looking for 900 rwhp for now to get my feet wet.

Last setup was 422 rwhp NA.

What about a Borg Warner S 363? It's supposed to spool faster.

s363 looks to comfortably be a 65 lb/min compressor. plenty of head room thats for sure.

TBH, your power goals aren't super high for twins. You really don't need much turbo.

I'm going borgs for the efficiency and lower IATs(hopefully). You may get some knock offs and run them until you build a bigger motor.

Went with twin FMW 62 76/68 .88ar t4 turbos with a billet wheel from Borg. The S363's had a 90 degree outlet that wouldn't have worked with my setup unless I were to cut it off and re-weld it. Didn't want to do that.

you can get 363's with the normal straight discharge.

But FMW's will be a better option anyway.

If you are considering Borg Warner, you may want to speak to Little John at LilJohnPerformance.

I am running a Borg Warner S484 I got from him and just did 1,008 RWHP on a 21 year old LT1, and with the race V2 cover I start making boost at 2100 RPM. For the power it makes and the lack of turbo lag, it has been an amazing turbo.
