Default 1018hp Twin Turbo 57 Buick build thread "The Jackal"

::Update:: 1018 rwhp in post #77

Just wanted to share the build i started last year of my Twin Turbo 1957 Buick Roadmaster "The Jackal". No one likes build threads that dont have pics so I delayed it until I got some major steam made.
Quick back story , my Grandpa bought this car for me 2 months before I was born, never drove it. He always told me it was mine, I remember being 4 or 5 years old sitting in it playing with the buttons, 11 yrs old learning about the options it came with, 15 yrs old talking with my girlfriend on the phone with my feet on the dash, and now 36 cruising it around. It came Loaded with A/c, Power steering, power seats, power windows and antenna. The patina is authentic. Its lived its entire life in the Mojave desert in CA until moving up to Massachusetts with me. It never sees rain, and I dont take it out after the first frost. They love their salt up here.

Its time to upgrade the drivetrain but the exterior and interior will remain untouched and as Ive always known it. Most likely going to clear it and if I ever want to change the color, I'll just wrap it.

Shooting for 700-800 rwhp just cruising around and also have a "kill" mode for dyno days and maybe track play at which point we'll just see what it does. 100% street car Daily Driveable. A/c , heat , Power steering, overdrive ect,,,,,

List of the few key Componets.

Fully forged aluminum 364 Ls2 self built with 317s I ported.
LJMS Custom ground cam specd for this build.
Twin Forced Inductions custom billet wheel S366's with 68mm turbines
4L80e
Circle D custom built lock up converter
Ford 9' 3.50 gears with Mark Williams Center section.
Alky Control Dual nozzle Meth kit
95lb injectors
Holley Dominator 12-1800 fuel pump

So theres the key stuff. I work alot so it will be hard to answer questions but Ill try. Mainly just figured you'd like to watch along. . Heres some pics. Enjoy.

Had my buddy Derek make this cover so that I could relocate the Heat and AC but not loose my neat fresh air vents inside.

Cool, I love it-I was 11 when the 57 Buick came out, a buddy's mom gave us a ride to school in her 57 Pontiac, loved the fins GM was doing.
Only thing I can add is make sure the trans dipstick is accurate, 80E's love to have the right amount of fluid, no less, lol

awesome build! I have to say though, I was really hoping you would run the exhaust out to the factory tailpipes in the bumper, either way really cool car

Thanks!!! Actually that's the plan. Going to run it like this for the 2 months left this year to drive, then over the winter put an electric cutout on each down pipe to divert the exhaust through a full muffled street exhaust. Best of both. That's how I had my 9 sec formula.

Got my Vibrant bellows in today for the wastegates. They'll be blended back into the down pipe.
