Default 2000 camaro turbo build, 9 or 10 second build??

So I just picked up a 2000 camaro z28 roller, 120,000 miles. Overall decent shape, car has sat for a while, paint is pretty nasty, interior is dirty.
First thing on the list will be: wash, vacuum, remove the ugly rs body kit, and get the car in the air to clean under it.
The car will get paint first then the engine and tranny will come. I am picking up a 4l80 this weekend for a steal. I am still on the fence about 5.3 or 6.0. So depending on which one I get first will determine what turbo I will go with.

PRevious owner had the front bumper off for a turbo build himself. Didnt do a good job of aligning the bumper/hood lines back. HOod is terrible shape, if it can't be salvaged it will be be replaced.

Cleaned!!

Previous owner added SS badges, hood, and wing.
You would assume the car has been in a wreck due to the off colored front fenders, but there is no frame damage, wrinkled metal, or any signs of damage. Clean title car,

Tossed my old firebirds drag wheels on and moved the nitto 555r to the front because my other front tires kept leaking down. Lol good think I don't plan on using any of those ugly wheels.

I would put a cheap 5.3l in and throw a nice S476 billet turbo on there. Looks like a fun build, keep us updated

Thinking about a 78mm with Huron truck manifold kit with a 5.3, that or a s475/476 like u mentioned. Or a 6.0 with s480.
I am open to ideas and well known combos.
I built a trans am with 5.3/317 heads/s475/circle d stall,4l80, it made 545 on 7psi with a boost cam on pump gas ran 12.0 at 120 with 60ft of 2.0. Couldn't build any boost off footbrake , kept pushing through the lights, brakes wouldn't hold enough to build any boost. And low compression made it a pig out of boost.

Idk I'll be going for 9's next season with my Tc78, but I'll be pusing it. I'd go with the turbonetics 7675 on a 5.7. It should spool quick and make big power with the 75 exhaust housing

The Huron truck manifold kit, is essentially what I run, but replaces one manifold for a c6 corvette manifold and retains ac . Here is a pic outside the car, it's a tight fit but well worth it . My only issue with it, is being a v1 kit, I couldn't get the oil return line to slope enough. Had to run a scavenge pump, but aside from that, the quality and fit was perfect! Huron is absolutely top notch, and I intend on ditching my current setup for their v2 twin t4 kit this winter

It is a hard to get the oil return to slope down on the v1 kit but is doable

I was un-aware of the oil line issue. May look into something else then.
Picked up a nice 4l80 today, $275.
I may take it apart and check it out, but if if looks good Il just put a shift kit in it.

Kinda have my heart set on the s400 series turbos anyways. I would like to do a turn down or fender exit 5" with a cut out that lets it go to a 3.5" through the k member. Or would that choke it down too much for normal driving?

For normal driving 3.5" out the back would be plenty big enough.

Not to hijack but can you guide me with this? I run a v1 ac kit so I'm not sure if jts different but I see no way at all with my k member, to route it and have it slope . I'd love to ditch the scavenge pump

I struggled with mine all you need is the very slightest slope downward. The key is to get a a oil flange with threads as close up to the turbo as possible and then a 90 right off of it.

Little update, removed front end, sanded the hood some to see how well that bubbled up stuff would come off. Removed rear wing.

Got the 4l80 painted

Passenger caliper was sticking so I got a new one and replaced it. All the others were painted so I made this one match.
